About Us
The Rumney Village Store is owned and operated by Matt and Deb, a mother and son
team who have made New Hampshire their home for several years. Although they
just purchased the store in 2006, this location has operated as a country store
since 1863 and still has much of its old time charm. The store has always been a
source of shopping convenience for the local towns people but more recently has
become a hub in all seasons. Located near Rattlesnake Mountain, Tenney Mountain
and Stinson Lake, climbers, hikers, skiers and snowmobilers from all over the
country and world enjoying the addition of home style meals, fresh dough pizza, hot
and cold subs and fresh baked goodies while shopping at the Store for general
merchandise.
Matt and Deb have collaborated on many of the recipes using some of the recipes
Matt enjoyed as a child. The true genius behind the culinary portion of the store
though, lies with Matt. Since an early age he was interested in cooking and took
culinary training during his high school years. Experience from every job since
then has added to the enjoyable eating experience found at the Rumney Village
Store.
Matt and Deb make every effort to maintain a high level of quality in food while
providing all the supplies and beverages found in a neighborhood convenient store.
